Truman Lake is nationally know for its excellent |
|||||
|
crappie and largemouth bass fishing. The 55,600 |
|||||
|
are reservoir is fed by four major rivers and several |
|||||
|

smaller streams, creating a broad degree of diversity |
||||
|
within the reservoir. Over 8,800 acres of standing |
|||||
|
timber were left in the lake to improve aquatic |
|||||
|
habitat. The lake also supports good populations of |
|||||
|
both blue and flathead catfish. A popular |
|||||
|
tournament lake. Bledsoe Ferry Park, located just |
|||||
|
downstream of Truman Dam, is one of |
|||||
|
the most popular bank fishing areas in the State of |
|||||
|
Missouri. The upper end of the Lake of the Ozarks |
|||||
|
extends to the back side of Truman Dam. In the |
|||||
|
Information |
spring of the year, fish from Lake of the Ozarks move |
||||
|
|
upstream and congregate below the dam | ||||
creating some great bank fishing. |
