Flag Spring C.A.

North West of Washburn about 1.75 miles on Hwy UU, then left
3 miles on the first public gravel road.  This 3,955 acre area
is mainly forestland and has 13 ponds (not suitable for fishing).
Approximately 15 miles of interior, natural surface roads are 
closed to vehicle traffic but may be used for horseback riding.
There also is a shooting range.

Roaring River C.A.

Two tracts.  The main tract is 2 miles East of Roaring River State
Park on Hwy F.  The area is 439 acres of forestland and 20 acres
of old pastureland.  Roaring River flows through the area for
about .5 mile.

Stubblefield Access

At the junction on Hwy's 39 and 248, travel West on Hwy 248 for
2.5 miles, then turn right (North) on an unnamed gravel road  
and travel for 2.5 miles. This road is across for Shiloh Church.
This 56 acres on Flat Creek with no boat ramp.

Bethel Prairie C.A.

4 miles West of Hwy 71 on hwy 126.  This 260 acre area is 
mostly prairie.

Buffalo Wallow Prairie C.A.

Two tracts.  The main tract is 3 miles South of Sheldon on Hwy 
71.  The access road is marked with a sign.  Native prairie 
extends for 409 acres in this area and is home to prairie 
chickens.  Forestland, old fields and cropland make up the rest 
of the 1,017 acres.

Bushwacker Lake C.A.

1 mile East of Hwy 43 on the Barton-Vernon County Road.  This

4,337 acre area has native prairie, cropland, forestland and old
fields.  Bushwhacker Lake and Willow Lake together provide
198 acres of fishable water.  There is a boat ramp and jetty on
there lake, and a stream also extends 8.7 miles through the area.

Comstock Prairie C.A.

1 miles West of Hwy 43 on NW 100 Road.  A .5 mile stretch
of Comstock Creek flows through this 320 acres of prairie, 
providing anglers with 1.8 acres of fishable water.

Davis Memorial State Forest

4 miles North of Mindenmines off Hwy 160.  This is an 85 acre
forested area with 5 acres of strip pits.

Doris Creek Prairie C.A.

4 miles East of Hwy 71 and 1 mile South on Gravel Road SE 40 
Lane.  This 160 acre native prairie has three ponds providing
anglers with 9.5 acres of fishable water.

On Hwy 43 North of Joplin to Route V, then  travel 4 miles West 
Route V, then .5 mile South on Route K to the area.  This is 100 10-0
acres of mainly old pastureland with about 2.5 acres of fishable

Lane, then 1 mile East on NE 90 Road.  There are three ponds on
this 162 acre are of mainly prairie, providing anglers with 1 
acre of fishable water.

On County Road M and 1 miles South of Hwy 160.  This 3,655
acre area has 18 lakes, four ponds and numerous strip pits.

Monegaw Prairie C.A.

On Hwy 54, 2.5 miles East of El Dorado Springs.  This 270 acre
native prairie has two small ponds (1.25 acres for fishing) and
a spring.

Sky Prairie C.A.

Roughly 12.5 miles South of El Dorado Springs off Hwy 32.  At
the junction of Hwy's 32 and CC, take the unnamed county road
2.5 miles South to the second county road, then right (West)
1 mile.  The prairie is 125 acres, and the rest (75 acres) is
forestland.  The area has on small pond, a spring and areas
where running buffalo clover has been reestablished.

Stockton Reservoir

15 miles North of Springfield.  This 24,900 acre lake extends
into Cedar, Dade and Polk Counties and has many accesses.

Turkey Creek C.A.

West of Humansville on Hwy N, 1.5 miles South on Hwy AA, then
West on an unnamed county gravel road.  The South East corner
of the area is .5 mile down this road.  It is 160 acres of 
forestland.

Busiek State Forest and Wildlife Area

On Hwy 65, 18 miles South of Springfield.  This 2,505 acre area
is mainly forestland, though there are 270 acres of dolomite
glades.  There is a firearms range.  Horseback riding and 
mountain biking are permitted on trails.

Fiddlers Ford Access

1.5 miles East of the junction of Hwy's 39 and O, on Hwy O.
From Hwy O, go 3.5 miles North on a unnamed county gravel
road marked with a cantilever sign.  The road curves East, and 
after .5 mile, crosses a set of railroad tracks just before the 
area.  This is 50 acres on Turnback Creek with no boat ramp.

On Hwy 160, 3 miles East of Lockwood.  This 320 acre area
consists mainly of old pastures and has three ponds (1.5 acres
of fishable water).

4 miles West of Hwy 97 on County Road E, then 1 mile North on
County Road E, then 1 mile North on County Road D.  This 640
acre area is nearly all native prairie and has a .8 acre pond of
fishable water.

Berry Bluff C.A.

North of Lebanon off Hwy E.  Where Hwy E is no longer paved,
turn left for .25 mile on the first gravel road.  This area is 159
acres of forestland located on the North (right) side of this road.

Goose Creek C.A.

Three separate tracts, spanning 10 miles in width. It may be
accessed East of Charity on Hwy M.  This is a 1,040 acre area
of mainly forestland (1,000 acres).

Lead Mine C.A.

North of Plad on Hwy 64, North on Hwy T, and .5 mile East on
Hwy YY.  At the first gravel road on the left, turn North and
travel for roughly 1 mile to reach the main parking lot.  This
6,957 acre area has 1 mile of Niangua River frontage and a 3
mile stretch of Jakes Creek running through it.  The area also
has two ponds and seven springs and consists mainly of forest-
land (5,788 acres).

Williams Ford Access

2 miles West of Windyville on Hwy MM, and 1 mile left on an
unnamed gravel road.  This is a40 acres on the Niangua River
with no boat ramp.

Cross Timbers Access

2 miles North of the junction of Hwy's 54 and B, 5.5 miles East 
on Hwy Y (until the pavement ends), then .75 mile south on the
gravel road.  This 44 acre area has a boat ramp on Pomme de
Terre River.

Mule Shoe C.A.

2.5 miles East of Preston on Hwy 54, then turn  on Hwy F and 
go 3.25 miles, then East on County Road F.  The area lies just
beyond the low water bridge over the Little Niangua River.  A 2.7
mile stretch of the Little Niangua flows through the area, and
there are four hiking trails .75 to 3 miles in length over old road
and dirt surfaces

John F. Murphy Memorial State Forest

and Wildlife Area

On the North side of Hwy 54, .75 mile East of Wheatland.  This
325 acre area is nearly all forestland (285 acres) and has four
caves and two springs.  Five trails wind through the area.

Pomme de Terre Reservoir

Several tract lie around this reservoir which is 4,019 acres.  The
larges accessible tract is 3 miles east of Elkton on Route H, then
