Content Guidelines
For all:
All content must be suitable for all ages.
Links are allowed in the Location content type in the website address field and has to be of the location. A link in a Adventure Blog (story), Adventurer News, Comments, and Events are allowed in the description area but it must be a reference for the content. A link in the Link exchange content type can be in the description area also as text but all link exchanges require a link back to SMO. Check the next day after creating your content for it to be reviewed and for it to be published. This of course is for preventing content that is not appropriate.
Adventurers do not need to create a location page or a gallery page when submitting other content, however, it is helpful to others reviewing your content to have access to a location page and or a gallery page for visual and knowledge reference. When submitting comments we follow one simple golden rule. If you have nothing good to say, say nothing at all. We also use a five star rating system that helps in this area, if you don't like them give them one star. Contacting us via the "Contact Us" form stating information is incorrect without giving the correct information will be ignored as it is not helpful. You do have the ability to edit the content yourself so if you want to be helpful edit it. We have a hard and fast anti-troll policy!
Businesses:
You can put what ever you want in the description section (except links, that should be placed in website address field) or upload a image providing it is suitable for all ages. We don't allow businesses with a retail location to use the Link Exchange since businesses are able to create a full page for their business. Search first for your business to see if a generic one has been created for you and then fill in and correct any content that is there (see businesses take note). Don't have a website? your in luck, create a location content ad you will have one! You can also refer another business in the recommended location field.
Businesses take note: Search for your business first before creating a location page. If you already have one, after registering, use the Contact Us (at the bottom of every page) and let us now your registration i.d. and business name (address to the page would be better but not necessary). We will make you the author and notify you through the message system on showmeoutdoors.com. So you will have to check back soon and look for your message Then you can edit to your hearts content.
