Recently, I have noticed a pattern, most hunters are not prepared for what lies ahead of them on their booked hunts. Hunting hogs in this part of the country is not easy. Hunting hogs in the south is a lot easier, mostly because the population of hogs in the south is enormous and are hunted mostly in the day light hours. Hogs in Southeastern Missouri are totally nocturnal, mostly because it is a new and exciting sport and due to the Conservation Department and the USDA applying pressure. Hunters need to be prepared to hunt all night long and into the early morning hours. This means, getting plenty of sleep during the day and staying warm and comfortable at night.

Secondly have your lighting together. Check it out before you enter the woods so you know what to expect. A few rounds of target practice is helpful. Hunting at night is totally different, exciting and takes some adjustment.

So if you book a hunt with us, please be prepared for anything and everything. Make yourself a check list. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to call us
