A large complex of sandstone glade, savanna, and dry, mesic sandstone forest exist. The uniqueness of this sandstone glade is the large expanse of exposed sandstone outcrop and the numerous species of mosses and lichens. Due to the shallowness of the bedrock in areas, a more mesic woodland/forest communities exists.
This tract features a 44-acre Designated Natural Area containing a sandstone glade, savanna, and forest.
One mile south of Lowry City on Highway 13, then 1 mile west on County Road NE700 and south on County Road NE301.
