The first of Missouri's major man made lakes and created in 1913. It is one of the three lakes that was created to dam up the White River. The lake is between Table Rock Lake and Bull Shoals Lake. With 2,080 acres and stretched like a river, it is very scenic. It has very cold water, making it the trout lake of Missouri. It provides excellent fishing for Rainbow and Brown Trout. Located close to Branson, but far enough away from the Tourist area to provide an enjoyable tranquil setting.
