With 25,000 acres of water on the western edge of the Missouri Ozarks and 12 Parks, it attracts thousand of visitors each year. Bringing their Boats, Sailboats, Ski's, Pwc's scuba diving gear, and the like to enjoy this lake. The water is very clear and a good lake for scuba diving. As a Corps of Engineers lake, it also offers scenic beauty. The 12 parks offer great places to go swimming and picnicking. Numerous campsites await you along with lodging facilities and they also have boat ramps and courtesy docks for your convenience. Being the number one place in a Missouri to go sailing because of it's a natural beauty and the pristine nature all rests on it being Corp of Engineers lake with restrictions to any building on it's shoreline. Stockton Lake has many dive sites. Underwater structures are varied as the surface terrain which surrounds the lake. Visibility will vary with the seasons and is usually in the 8 to 10 foot range. Springtime generally brings the visibility up to 25 feet or more. The generally accepted scuba diving season fro Stockton Lake is April through November. Spearfishing in Missouri is restricted to rough fish only in impounded waters, so Stockton Lake presents an excellent "hunting ground" to hone skills and spearfish for sport.

One of the Ozarks least traveled lakes is located on the Sac River in Southwest Missouri. Nestled in the foothills of the scenic Ozark Mountain range. Its clear waters are home to several species of fish, including small and largemouth bass, crappie, white bass, walleye, catfish, and sunfish, and more for a angler to enjoy.
