Blue Springs Creek C.A.

2.5 miles South of Bourbon on Hwy N, then off Blue Springs County
Road (marked by a cantilever sign).  The Meramec River and Blue
Springs Creek flow for about 5 miles through this 857 acre forested
area.

Crooked Creek C.A.

At the junction of Hwy's M and VV.  337 acres of mainly forestland.

Huzzah C.A.

Two tracts.  The largest tract can be reached from Onondaga
Cave State Park, or by heading North East of Steelville on Hwy E
and crossing a low water bridge at the Courtois Creek.  This 6,225
acre area contains parts of the Meramec River, Huzzah Creek and
Courtois Creek.  8.5 miles of the Ozark Trail will extend through
the area (approximately 4.5 has been constructed), and spelunkers
often explore the area's 20 caves.

Onyx Cave C.A.

6.5 miles South of Bourbon on Hwy N, and 3 miles East (left) on
Thickety Ford Road.  There is no public access to the cave, but
it is surrounded by about 35 acres of forestland.  The Brazil
Creek flows through the area for about .3 mile

14 miles East of Steelville on Hwy 8, then 3 miles down Hwy Y.
This 81 acre area is all forestland

Woodson K. Woods Memorial C.A.

On Hwy 8 South East of St. James.  This 5,660 acre area on Dry
Fork Creek and the Meramec River Contains Spring's End Forest, 
a 30 acre natural area of bottomland hardwoods.

Franklin County

Catawissa C.A.

On Hwy N, North of the town of Catawissa on Hwy N, then right
on a county road that follows along railroad tracks.  This road
dead ends at the 207 acre area.  Most of this area is forestland
(169 acres) and has a boat ramp on the Meramec River.

Little Indian Creek C.A.

Off Hwy 30 turn South on Hwy K across the Meramec River, then
3 miles to the left on Old Hwy K to Little Indian Creek Road.  Follow
this road 3 miles and watch for the area sign.  This is a 3,939 acre
area consisting of mainly forestland *3,742 acres).  Little Indian
Creek flows 1 mile through the area, and there are two horseback
riding trails about 8 miles long.

Long Ridge C.A.

Roughly 6 miles North of Sullivan on Hwy AF.  At the end of AF
continue on Ridge Road to reach this 1,816 acre area.

Meramec C.A. and Arthur G. Heyne Memorial Annex

On Hwy 185 South at the Sullivan exit from I-44.  This is a 3,879
acre area on the Meramec River (4.8 miles).  It has a 12 mile
hiking trail mainly through forestland.  There is also a 1.4 mile
disabled accessible trail.  There are five ponds, 24 wildlife
watering holes, four caves and a spring in the area.

Canaan C.A.

3 miles North of Bland on Hwy A.  This 1,435 acre area is then on
Boetcher Road (gravel road off Hwy A).  Most of this area is forest,
and it contains stretches of Sulphur Branch and Clear Fork Stream.

Hermann Riverfront Park

Downtown Hermann along the Missouri River.  This 14 acre area
has a boat ramp and wheelchair accessible fishing dock.

Merrill Horse Access

5 miles West of Desoto on Hwy H.  This is a 74 acre area with .5
mile frontage and a boat ramp on the Big River.  This is a small-
mouth bass management area.

Pacific Palisades C.A.

1.5 miles South of Pacific on Hwy F, then .1 mile East on English
Road.  The boat ramp is reached by taking I-44 to the Allenton-
Six Flags exit, then 1.8 miles West on Old Rt. 66, turn left on
Dozier Crossing and make a right on Franklin Road.  This is a
695 acre area with 2.9 miles of frontage on the Meramec River.
Consisting of mainly forestland (465 acres) and cropland (120
acres).  Palisades Gravel Mines Lakes provide about 60 acres for
fishing and there is an archery range.

Valley View Glades Natural Area

On Hwy B between Cedar Hill and Hillsboro.  The entire 225 acre
area is a dolomite glade and a Designated Natural Area.

Victoria Glades C.A.

1.5 miles South of Hillsboro on Victoria Hillsboro Road.  This 239
acre area is a glade (100 acres) and forestland (139 acres).

Young C.A.

South on Hwy W of I-44 and 3 miles West on Hwy FF.  This 970
acre area is mostly forestland and contains a 1.3 mile stretch of
LaBarque Creek.  There are two ponds (1.2 acres fishable water),
demonstration sites, and a hiking trail 2.5 miles over a soil and
chat surface.

Cuivre Island C.A.

2 miles South of Old Monroe on Hwy 79, then 5 miles East on
Dalbow Road.  The Mississippi River and Cuivre Slough are along
this 1,341 acre area.  There is a boat ramp and three trails 
totaling 6 miles in length.

Kessler Memorial Wildlife Area

5 miles North of Troy on Hwy 61, then 3 miles East on hwy KK.
This area is 157 acres consisting of mainly forestland and old
pastures

B.K. Leach Memorial C.A.

Two tracts.  The main tract is 3 miles South of Elsberry on Hwy 79,
then 3 miles East on Hwy M.  This 1,413 acre area borders the
Mississippi River.  Bates Slough, Houghmaster Slough and Burns
Pond provide 30 acres of fishable water.  It is noted for its 
freshwater marsh.  The area hosts a waterfowl hunting program
and has service roads and levees suitable for hiking.
Access is restricted from October 15 through the close of water-
fowl season.

Two tracts.  The largest tract is 10 miles North of Troy on Hwy 61,
then .25 mile West on Hwy E, then 3 miles North on Hwy RA.  This
1,798 acre area is mostly forestland (1,180 acres) or old pastures.

Prairie Slough C.A.

5 miles North East of Elsberry on Hwy P.  This 584 acre area has
50 acres for fishing and 406 acres of wet mesic bottomland forest.
It is a Designated Natural Area.

Sandy Island C.A.

Take Hwy N East off Hwy 79 to Lock and Dam #25.  Visitors must
then walk 300 yards to reach the 3089 acre area.

Vonaventure Memorial Forest and Wildlife Area

North of Silex on Hwy UU.  This is a 203 acre forest with on small
pond (.25 acre for fishing,).

Wm. G. and E.P. White Memorial Wildlife Area

On Hwy Z at Whiteside.  This 810 acre area contains Lake Whiteside
and nine ponds, providing anglers with 30 acres of fishable water.
There is a boat ramp and disabled accessible fishing jetty.

Danville C.A.

South of I-70 at the exit of Hwy 161, then 2 miles East on the outer
road, then 2 miles South on County Road RB (gravel).  This 2,655
acre area contains 12 ponds and a 1 mile stretch of Clear Creek
(8 acres of fishable water).  Danville Glades Natural Area is 113
acres, and a hiking trail winds 3 miles through the area.

Grand Bluffs

Off hwy 94, .25 mile North on County Road 291.  This 223 acre
area provides access to the top and part ownership of a 300 ft
dolomite bluff overlooking the Missouri River.

Edward Anderson C.A.

11 miles South of Hannibal on Hwy 79.  The Mississippi River flows
2.25 miles along the edge this 1,045 acre area.

DuPont Reservation C.A.

16 miles South of Hannibal on Hwy 79 near Ashburn.  A 1 mile 
stretch of the Mississippi River flows along the edge of this 1,320 
acre area. DuPont Upland Forest Natural area, a mixed upland  
hardwood forest, is an  89 acre Designated Natural Area.  There is 
a .5 mile hiking trail and boat ramp.  The area borders Ted Shank 
C.A.

Ranacker C.A.

9 miles North of Bowling Green on Route RA off Hwy 61.  This 1,597
acre area is mainly forestland (1,190 acres) and contains a stretch
of Peno Creek.

Ted Shanks C.A.

17 miles South of Hannibal on Hwy 79 and East on Route TT (area
is marked by a sign).  route TT ends at the 4,025 acre area. 
Horseshoe Lake, Flag Lake, Rainbow Lake, Salt Pits and stretches of 
the Mississippi and Salt rivers provide anglers with about 575 
acres of fishable water.  There are two Designated Natural Area, a 7 
mile canoe trail on Salt River, area sloughs and canals, a wheelchair
accessible trail, waterfowl blinds and group tours by appointment.

Borrow Pit C.A.

13.5 miles West of Alton on Hwy 94, then 3 miles down Grafton
Ferry Road.  This is 40 acres of forestland.

August A . Busch Memorial C.A.

South on Hwy 94 off Hwy 40-61, then 1.5 miles on Hwy D.  This
6,987 acre area is notable for its 32 lakes and many small ponds,
providing anglers with 526 acres for fishing.  The area has five 
viewing blinds (two are wheelchair accessible, seven hiking trails,
picnic area, a staffed firearms range, fishing jetties and floating
docks that are wheelchair accessible.  The area has interpretive
programs, exhibits and demonstration sites, and is used by
